We began as a cleaning company in Osaka. Buildings, offices, shops and the kitchens behind restaurants. Work that only goes well if you are willing to be on site at inconvenient hours.

Running that business, we needed software that matched how the work actually happens — quotes written in a van, invoices raised the same day, photographs from a job attached to the right customer. Nothing we could buy did that, so we wrote it. Other companies asked for the same thing, and that became our second business.

The matcha came from the same instinct. Rather than buy through a chain of wholesalers, we went to Uji and dealt with the farms directly, so we can tell a customer exactly what they are getting.

Three businesses that look unrelated on paper. What they have in common is that we do the work ourselves first, and only then offer it to someone else.
